Frequently asked questions

How do I open the Midnight Controls settings menu?
Open the game's Controls or Options screen and look for the Midnight Controls button or tab, which opens its own config screen. From there you can toggle controller support, adjust the on-screen button indicator, and change sensitivity.
Why isn't my controller working after installing Midnight Controls?
Make sure the controller is connected and recognized by your operating system before launching the game, then enable controller support in the Midnight Controls config. If it still doesn't respond, check that no other mod or program is capturing the controller input.
How do I remap buttons on my controller?
Open the Midnight Controls config and go to the button mapping or bindings section, then select the action you want to change and press the controller button you want assigned to it. You can also create and save your own custom mapping profile for controllers that aren't automatically detected.
What is the on-screen button indicator and how do I turn it off?
It's an overlay that shows which controller buttons correspond to actions, similar to Bedrock Edition's button hints. You can toggle it on or off in the Midnight Controls config if you find it distracting.
