How do I turn on item beams for dropped loot?
Item beams are enabled by default when you install the mod. If you don't see them, open the configuration menu and verify that beam highlighting is toggled on, then adjust the beam brightness or color if needed.
Can I stop certain items from showing beams?
Yes—rename items on an anvil with the tag `noBeam` and they won't display light beams when dropped. You can combine this with other custom tags like color codes or quantity numbers.
What does the hotbar alert do?
The hotbar alert sends you a chat message when better equipment is available in your inventory or nearby chests but not equipped in your hotbar, helping you swap to superior gear during combat.
How do I create a custom item set?
Place the items you want to track into your inventory in a creative world, then type `/LootMate customsets add ` in chat to save that set. The mod will then recognize and highlight those items.
