How do I know if I've been infected by the Mycelium Effect?
You'll see a status effect icon and visual changes on your character once the Mycelium Effect is active. The infection progresses over time, so treat it as soon as you notice the effect rather than waiting it out.
Can I get infected just by walking near Infected Mobs?
No, the Mycelium Effect is applied through contact damage from Infected Humans and Infected Villagers. Keep your distance and avoid letting them land melee hits on you.
Why do new Infected keep appearing even after I clear an area?
Infected Humans spawn naturally and also convert from Drowned, Husks, and Zombies, while Infected Villagers convert from Villagers and Zombie Villagers. If you leave regular zombies or villagers exposed, the infection will keep replenishing itself.
Do Infected Villagers do anything besides attack me?
Infected Villagers are melee combatants that inflict the Mycelium Effect on contact, and they retain some villager-like behaviors. Don't assume they're harmless just because they used to be traders.
