How do I get items to stay in the anvil after I close it?
Just place your items in the anvil's input slots and close the interface normally. The mod automatically keeps them there, so you can walk away and come back without losing your progress. No special action or keybind is needed.
Why did my items disappear from the anvil?
Items only persist if the mod is active on the world you're playing. If you opened the anvil on a server without the mod, or the mod was removed, the vanilla behavior returns and items drop or vanish on close. Make sure the mod is loaded on both client and server.
How do I repair a chipped or damaged anvil?
Place iron blocks on the anvil itself to restore it, similar to how you'd repair it in vanilla but using iron blocks instead of iron ingots. This lets you keep using an anvil that would otherwise be too damaged to function.
Can I repair an anvil that's already too damaged to use?
Yes, the mod lets you repair damaged anvils with iron blocks even when they're in the chipped or very damaged states. Once repaired, the anvil returns to a usable condition so you can keep working.
