The mod works automatically once installed—anvils will have no XP cost from the moment you load your world. There are no configuration steps or commands needed to get started.
Can I still repair tools with materials instead of using an anvil?
Yes, this mod only removes the XP cost from anvils; it doesn't affect crafting recipes or grindstones. You can still repair tools using a crafting table, grindstone, or anvil—whichever method you prefer.
What happens if I combine two enchanted items on an anvil?
Combining enchanted items works the same as normal—you'll transfer enchantments from one item to another—but you won't pay any XP levels for the operation. If enchantments conflict, the anvil will still follow standard Minecraft rules about which one takes priority.
Does this mod affect enchanting tables or only anvils?
This mod only affects anvils. Enchanting tables, loot tables, and other XP mechanics remain unchanged.
