Frequently asked questions

How do I grow a custom tree from a sapling?
Place a vanilla sapling in a supported custom biome—the sapling type should match the logs of the original tree. White particles will appear when you place it, indicating a custom tree will grow in its modded shape.
What saplings work with this mod?
Vanilla saplings work, and the specific sapling type depends on the wood type of the custom tree. For example, if a custom tree uses oak logs, use an oak sapling to regrow it in its custom shape.
Can I grow a normal vanilla tree in a custom biome?
Yes—hold sneak (crouch) while placing the sapling in a custom biome, and it will grow as a regular vanilla tree instead of the custom shape.
Why isn't my sapling growing into a custom tree?
Make sure you're in a supported custom biome from Terralith or Blooming Biosphere, and that you're using the correct sapling type for that tree's wood. If you're sneaking while placing it, the mod will force vanilla growth instead.
