Frequently asked questions

What does the Cobblemon Additions Mod actually add?
It adds two blocks: the Pokemon Spawner and the Pokemon Trial Spawner. The Pokemon Spawner spawns Pokemon on its own, and the Pokemon Trial Spawner runs wave-based battles that reward you when you clear them.
How do I get a Pokemon Spawner in survival?
Craft the Pokemon Spawner using its recipe in a crafting table, then place it where you want Pokemon to appear. Check the recipe in JEI or REI if you have a recipe viewer installed.
How do I make the Pokemon Spawner actually spawn Pokemon?
Place the block, then open its interface to configure which Pokemon should spawn and the conditions for spawning. A spawner with no Pokemon configured will sit there doing nothing, which is the most common reason players think it is broken.
Why is my Pokemon Spawner not spawning anything?
The usual causes are an empty spawn configuration, the spawner being outside its valid spawn conditions, or the chunk not being loaded. Open the spawner's interface and confirm a Pokemon is set, then check that players are nearby and the area meets the spawn requirements.
