Frequently asked questions

How do I find fireflies?
Fireflies spawn naturally at night in swamp biomes and the new Marshy Swamp variant. Look for them hovering above the ground during nighttime—they're most active in areas with water and vegetation.
What do I do with fireflies once I catch them?
Fireflies can be used to craft Peace Lanterns, which provide a gentle ambient light source. You can also keep them in bottles as decorative items or release them back into the world.
How do I make a Peace Lantern?
Combine fireflies with crafting materials at a crafting table to create Peace Lanterns. These lanterns emit a soft, natural glow and are perfect for decorating nature-themed builds without harsh lighting.
Which new biomes should I explore first?
Start with the Grassy Birch Forest or Oak Hammock Forest if you want to see the mod's new vegetation and hanging leaves mechanics. The updated Swamp and Marshy Swamp are great for finding fireflies and water lilies.
What are Birch Mushrooms and what's the Immunity effect?
Birch Mushrooms are a new plant found in the Grassy Birch Forest that grant an Immunity effect when consumed or used. This effect provides temporary protection from certain environmental hazards in nature-themed areas.
Do falling leaves affect performance?
Falling leaves are a visual feature that shouldn't significantly impact performance on most systems, but you can adjust particle settings in your client options if you experience lag.
Can I use these new blocks in my builds?
Yes, all the new natural blocks like water lilies, wildflowers, hanging leaves, and decorative vegetation can be collected and placed in your builds. They work great for creating nature-themed structures and landscaping.
Are the old biomes completely replaced?
No, the mod makes small changes to old biomes rather than replacing them entirely. You'll still recognize familiar biomes, but they'll have enhanced vegetation and new decorative elements.
Where do I find Wildflowers?
Wildflowers spawn naturally in various biomes throughout the world, particularly in grassy and forest areas. They come in multiple colors and can be collected for decoration or crafting.
Does this mod add any new creatures or just plants?
The mod adds both new creatures and animals to enhance the natural world, though the focus is primarily on vegetation, biomes, and decorative natural elements. Check your specific biomes to encounter the new wildlife.
