Finding and Spawning a Copper Golem

Copper Golems in Friends&Foes are spawned using the Copper Golem Spawn Egg, or you may encounter them naturally depending on your configuration. Once spawned, a Copper Golem wanders around and interacts with copper buttons it finds nearby. It randomly presses copper buttons within its path, which makes it useful as an automated, mob-based redstone trigger.

Using Copper Buttons With the Golem

Place Copper Buttons on any block face where you want the golem to press them. The golem will path toward and press them over time, sending a redstone signal like a normal button press. You can wire the button's output into doors, lamps, or dispensers. Keep in mind the golem presses buttons randomly, so this is best for decorative or ambient automation rather than precise timing.

Oxidation and Behavior

Copper Buttons exist in several oxidation stages (Exposed, Weathered, Oxidized) and waxed variants. The golem still interacts with them, but oxidation is a cosmetic/mechanical detail you should account for when building. If you want a stable look, use Waxed Copper Buttons so they do not continue oxidizing. The Copper Golem itself can oxidize over time, changing its appearance; you can slow this with honeycomb if your configuration allows it. Build a small pen with buttons on the walls to keep the golem contained and productive.
