Finding a Rascal
Rascals are small, mischievous mobs added by Friends&Foes, inspired by the mob vote creature. Spawn one with the
Rascal Spawn Egg or locate them in caves depending on your configuration. A Rascal plays a hiding game: it hides and you must find it a set number of times to earn a reward.
Playing the Hiding Game
When you approach a Rascal, it giggles and hides nearby. Find it again and it will hide once more. Repeat finding it until you complete the required number of rounds. Each successful find progresses the game. Once you finish, the Rascal grants you a reward, typically a useful item or loot. If you lose track of it or leave the area, the game may reset.
Tips for Reliable Rewards
Build a contained, well-lit room with few hiding spots so the Rascal cannot wander far, making each round quick. Avoid attacking it, since that ends the game and may drop nothing useful. Bring empty inventory space for the reward. If you want repeatable rewards, keep the Rascal alive and re-trigger the game rather than killing it. This makes a Rascal a renewable mini-game for loot in a safe, controlled space.
