Crafting and Placing Beehives
Friends&Foes adds beehives for every wood type: Acacia, Bamboo, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Pale Oak, Spruce, and
Warped Beehives. Craft them using planks of the matching wood plus honeycomb, similar to the vanilla beehive recipe. Place them near flowers so bees can pollinate and fill the hive with honey.
Harvesting Honey Safely
Use shears on a full hive to harvest Honeycomb, or use glass bottles to collect Honey Bottles. To avoid angering the bees, place a campfire directly below the hive before harvesting. The wood-type beehives behave like vanilla beehives, so all standard bee-farming rules apply. Each wood variant is purely cosmetic, letting you match hives to your build's theme without changing function.
Building a Bee Farm
Set up a row of hives of your chosen wood type with flowers in front and a campfire under each. Surround the area with fences to keep bees contained. Use the matching wood for fences and paths so the farm looks cohesive. Harvest on a cycle so hives refill between collections. Since all wood-type hives work identically, pick the wood that matches your base and scale up the number of hives to increase honey and honeycomb output.
