You tame a Chocobo by hand-feeding it Gysahl Greens. After a random number of Gysahl Greens, it grows a red or blue collar indicating it is tamed.
How many colors of Chocobo are there?
There are 9 different colors: Yellow, Blue, Green, White, Black, Gold, Red, Pink, and Purple. Yellow is the only one that spawns naturally in the Overworld.
How do I get a Gold Chocobo?
Gold Chocobos are made by breeding a White and a Black Chocobo while using Golden Gysahls only. Golden Gysahls are required to get a Gold Chocobo from breeding.
