Getting Started with Fishing
Aquaculture 2 expands vanilla fishing with multiple rod tiers and a hook system. Craft a basic rod (the mod adds iron, gold, diamond, and neptunium rods) and cast it into any water source. When it dips, right-click to reel in.
Using Hooks
Hooks are attachments that change what you catch. Open your rod's attachment slot (the mod adds a slot to the rod itself) and place a hook inside. Different hooks bias your loot toward specific categories — some favor fish, others favor junk or treasure. Swap hooks depending on what you want. If you want more fish, use a hook that boosts fish catch rate; if you want treasure like enchanted books, use a treasure-biased hook.
Bait and Lure
Bait items (like worms) can be attached to your rod to speed up bites and improve catch quality. Combine bait and hook for the best results. The 
bobber must be in open water — fishing in a 1x1 pool still works but yields fewer bites.
Tips
- Fish in larger bodies of water for better loot tables.
- Neptunium rods have the best stats and can be enchanted further.
- Check your rod's tooltip to see installed hooks and bait.
