How to Survive the Acid and Radrock Areas

Alex's Caves adds hazardous terrain, including Acid and Acidic Radrock. These aren't just decoration — stepping in the wrong place will hurt you, and the areas around them are some of the mod's most dangerous.

Recognizing the Danger

Acid appears as a liquid pool, and Acidic Radrock is the block form found in the same regions. Both are tied to the mod's more extreme biomes. If you see greenish liquid or unusual glowing rock, assume it's harmful until proven otherwise.

Surviving and Harvesting

Do not swim in Acid. If you need to cross it, build a bridge or use blocks to path over the top. Bring a Bucket of Acid only if you have a specific use for it, and be careful when carrying it — spilling it near your base is a disaster. Acidic Radrock can be mined, but the surrounding area often spawns hostile mobs, so clear threats before you start digging. Wear good armor, carry healing food, and set up a small forward base with a bed so a death doesn't send you all the way back to spawn.
