FAQ & Troubleshooting

How do I get to the Aether? Build a portal frame out of Glowstone (the same shape as a Nether portal) and activate it with a bucket of water instead of flint and steel, then step through.

Why won't my portal light? Make sure the frame is built entirely from Glowstone and that you are using a water bucket on the inside of the frame.

How do I get a Moa mount? Find a Moa egg, hatch it in an Incubator fueled with Ambrosium, feed the baby Aechor Petals until it grows up, then saddle it and ride it.

How do I repair and enchant Aether gear? Use the Altar block with Ambrosium and Zanite rather than a vanilla anvil or enchanting table.

Why won't the mod load? The Aether needs its required libraries - Nitrogen (Internals), owo-lib, Accessories, and Cumulus - installed alongside it. If any are missing or incompatible, the mod will fail to load. Check your mod list.

What are the dungeons? There are three - the Bronze Dungeon (Slider), the Silver Dungeon (Valkyrie Queen), and the Gold Dungeon (Sun Spirit) - each with a boss, traps, keys, and unique loot.

Is it safe on the surface of the islands? Hostile night monsters do not spawn on the island surfaces, but the Aether's own mobs, the dungeons, and the void below are still real dangers.
