NuclearCraft Mod — Reference
Mobs
NuclearCraft adds a unique hostile mob to the game to populate its radioactive environments.
Feral Ghoul
Feral Ghouls are irradiated humanoids that spawn exclusively in the Nuclear Wasteland biome. They are faster and more aggressive than standard zombies.
- Health: 20 (10 hearts)
- Attack Damage: 4 (2 hearts) + Radiation Poisoning
- Behavior: They sprint toward players and jump during attacks. Their hits inflict a significant amount of radiation (approx. 18 mRad/tick) which bypasses standard armor protection.
- Drops: Carrots, Potatoes, Rotten Flesh, and occasionally Iron Ingots.
Single-Block Machines
NuclearCraft features a variety of upgradeable machines. Most machines can be improved with Speed Upgrades (increases processing speed but increases power consumption quadratically) and Energy Upgrades (reduces power consumption).
- Manufactory: The basic crusher. Turns ores into dusts and ingots into plates.
- Isotope Separator: Essential for nuclear fuel production. It splits materials into their constituent isotopes (e.g., Uranium into U-235 and U-238).
- Alloy Smelter: Combines two items into alloys (e.g., Copper + Tin = Bronze).
- Fuel Reprocessor: Recycles depleted fuel cells into useful isotopes for further fuel crafting.
- Decay Hastener: Speeds up the natural radioactive decay of isotopes.
- Melter: Turns solid materials into their molten fluid forms.
- Chemical Reactor: Combines fluids and items to create complex chemicals like Rad-Away.
- Electrolyzer: Uses power to split fluids into gases (e.g., Water into Hydrogen and Oxygen).
Biomes and Structures
Nuclear Wasteland
The Nuclear Wasteland is a desolate biome characterized by Dry Earth, Irradiated Grass, and a sickly green sky.
- Radiation: The biome has high background radiation levels, requiring protection to explore safely.
- Flora: Irradiated trees and glowing mushrooms.
- Structures: Abandoned bunkers and ruined laboratories can be found here, containing rare reactor components and hazmat gear.
