How the More Cave Sounds resource pack adds 23 extra cave ambience clips to Minecraft's underground audio, and how the sounds are merged with the ones already in the game.

Overview

Minecraft plays an occasional ambience clip while you are underground in the dark - the sound the game labels Eerie noise in the subtitles. Vanilla draws that clip from a fixed pool, and because the pool is small, anyone who mines for more than an hour starts recognising individual sounds.

More Cave Sounds adds 23 brand-new clips to that pool. Nothing is taken away: every ambience sound already in the game stays in the rotation, so the pack roughly doubles the number of possible sounds and makes repeats far less frequent.
