Getting a Mob to Talk
Mob Talker turns ordinary creatures into characters you can interact with. To begin, approach a mob that the mod supports and look directly at it. Depending on your configuration, you either right-click the mob or press the interaction key while targeting it. If nothing happens, the mob may not be enabled for dialogue in your config, or it may need to be a specific variant.
Once triggered, a visual novel-style interface opens over the game. You will see a portrait of the character, a text box, and a set of choices. Read the prompt and click a response to continue the branch. Your choices shape the relationship and unlock different scenes over time.
Reading the Interface
- The portrait shows the current speaker and their mood.
- The text box displays their line; click or press the advance key to move on.
- Choice buttons appear when the story branches. Pick carefully, since some options raise affection and others lower it.
- Closing the window mid-scene may end the conversation without saving progress for that branch.
If a mob stays silent, check your configuration to confirm that mob type is enabled, then try again. Conversations are the core loop, so experiment with different creatures to see who has dialogue.
