Building Affection and Unlocking New Scenes

Why Affection Matters

Most Mob Talker characters track how much they like you. This value, often shown as hearts or a relationship meter, determines which scenes and endings you can reach. Raising it unlocks new dialogue, special events, and deeper story branches.

Ways to Raise Affection

• Talk often. Repeated conversations, even short ones, build the relationship over time.
• Choose kind or supportive responses when a branch appears. Aggressive or dismissive answers usually lower affection.
• Give gifts if the character accepts items. Offer the item through the interaction prompt rather than dropping it on the ground.
• Spend time nearby. Some characters respond to you simply being in the area or returning after a while.
• Follow through on promises made in dialogue; ignoring a request can cost affection.

Tracking Progress

Open the character's page or status view to see the current relationship level. If a scene seems locked, you likely need more affection or a specific earlier choice. Because branches are permanent per save, consider keeping a backup before major decisions. Progress is usually stored per world, so a new save starts fresh.
