Setting Up a Screenshot-Ready Scene

Photographic textures reward good composition. Build or visit a scene with strong natural light — a coastline at sunrise, a forest clearing, or a stone structure in overcast weather. Set Brightness high enough that shadowed faces still show detail, and enable Smooth Lighting on Maximum so curved and stepped builds read cleanly.

Camera and HUD

  • Hide the HUD with F1 before capturing.
  • Disable View Bobbing so repeated shots line up.
  • Use a moderate FOV (around default) to avoid edge distortion on the high-res textures.
  • If you have a camera mod or freecam, use it to get angles vanilla cannot reach; the pack's detail shows best at close-to-medium range.

Getting Consistent Results

Take a reference shot, then adjust one setting at a time — brightness, then smooth lighting, then shaders — and compare. Because the pack replaces environmental elements as well as blocks, sky, water, and foliage all shift together, so re-frame after each change rather than assuming the old composition still works. Save your final settings as a profile if your launcher supports it.
