What does LB Photo Realism Reload actually change?
It replaces vanilla textures for blocks, items, and environmental elements with high-resolution photographic imagery for a realistic look. It's a resource pack, so it changes visuals only and doesn't add new items or blocks.
How do I turn it on after installing it?
Open Options, go to Resource Packs, and move LB Photo Realism Reload from Available to Selected, then confirm. If it doesn't appear, make sure the pack folder is in the correct resourcepacks directory.
Why is my game lagging or stuttering after I enabled it?
High-resolution textures use much more VRAM and GPU power than vanilla, so lower your render distance and mipmap levels first. If stuttering continues, reduce the pack's resolution variant or disable other resource packs running alongside it.
Do I need shaders to make it look good?
No, but shaders and adjusted lighting settings make the photorealistic textures look much more natural. Without them the pack still works, though flat vanilla lighting can make the textures look mismatched.
Can I use it with other resource packs at the same time?
Yes, but load order matters because packs higher in the list override lower ones. Put LB Photo Realism Reload where you want its textures to win, and place packs that only add sounds or UI elsewhere.
Some textures are missing or look wrong, how do I fix that?
This usually means another pack is overriding those files or the pack is partially loaded. Move LB Photo Realism Reload to the top of the selected list and reload resources with F3+T.
Does it work in multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side, so you can use it on any server. Other players won't see your textures unless they also have the pack installed.
Why do my screenshots look different from what I see in-game?
Screenshots capture exactly what's rendered, so differences usually come from shaders, brightness, or FOV settings rather than the pack itself. Lock your lighting and shader settings before taking cinematic shots.
Will it change my world or add new blocks?
No, it only swaps textures for existing vanilla content like the blocks and items listed on the wiki. Your world, recipes, and gameplay stay exactly the same.
How do I get the most realistic look for builds and cinematics?
Pair the pack with shaders, set a consistent time of day, and tune brightness and gamma so the photographic textures aren't washed out. Use a stable camera position and matching FOV for screenshots.
