Where do I find lead ore?

Lead ore spawns in underground stone caves throughout the Overworld, but the richest and largest veins appear in swamp biomes. Mine it with a stone pickaxe or better to collect raw lead.

How do I make lead ingots?

Smelt raw lead in a furnace, blast furnace, or smoker to convert it into lead ingots. These ingots are the base material for all lead tools, armor, and decorative blocks.

Can I dye leaded glass after placing it?

Yes—right-click a placed leaded glass pane with any dye to color specific sections of the pattern. Use shears to reset the dye and return it to clear glass.

What patterns can I make with leaded glass?

Place leaded glass panes in a Stonecutter to choose from over ten distinct geometric patterns. You can then rotate each placed pane by sneaking and right-clicking to adjust the pattern direction.

Do lead tools break faster than normal tools?

Yes, lead tools deal high damage but have reduced durability compared to standard materials. They're best used for short-term high-impact tasks rather than extended mining.

How do lead torches defend against mobs?

Lead torches emit toxic fumes that ward off hostile creepers and pillagers. If you want light without the fumes, use sealed lead lanterns instead.

What happens when I mine lead ore?

Mining lead ore releases toxic lead fumes that cause lead sickness to nearby players. This is a hazard to manage during your mining operation, but the fumes can also be weaponized for base defense.

Can I use lead weights as traps?

Yes—hang lead weights from chains and shoot them with arrows to trigger them as falling traps that crush targets below, similar to how anvils work.

Does the mod work with Create?

Yes, you can crush lead ore in Crushing Wheels and press ingots into lead sheets with Create's machinery. Lead blocks also calculate realistic heavy mass in Create: Aeronautics.

Do lead blocks block sculk sensors?

Yes, lead blocks prevent vibration signals from reaching sculk sensors and also stop movement from sticky pistons, making them useful for both defense and redstone contraptions.
