Puzzles Lib is a rather light-weight library consisting of multiple frameworks and utility classes. But most of all, it offers an abstraction layer for developing mods on both the Forge and Fabric mod loader, making ports and maintaining mods rather simple without having to rewrite a bunch of logic.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install Puzzles Lib on both the client and the server?
Yes. Puzzles Lib is a shared library, so it must be present on both the client and the server for any mod that depends on it to work. If it's missing on either side, the dependent mod will fail to load or crash on connection.
How do I know which of my mods actually needs Puzzles Lib?
Check the dependencies listed on each mod's own page, or look at the crash log when a mod complains about a missing dependency. Puzzles Lib itself does nothing, so any effect you see in-game comes from a mod that lists it as a requirement.
Can I remove Puzzles Lib if I don't see it doing anything?
Only if no other installed mod depends on it. Removing it while a dependent mod is still present will cause that mod to fail to load, usually with a missing dependency error.
Why doesn't Puzzles Lib show up as a separate mod in my mod list?
It does appear in the mod list, but it has no config screen, no items, and no gameplay content of its own. If you see it listed but can't interact with it, that's expected behavior.
