Frequently asked questions

How do I open the Preferred Gamerules config?
Open the Mod Menu config screen and find Preferred Gamerules in your mod list, then click its config button. From there you can toggle each gamerule directly without typing any commands.
Do I need cheats enabled to change gamerules with this mod?
No. The mod edits gamerules through its config screen, so you don't need cheats or operator permissions on the world. This is the main reason to use it over the vanilla /gamerule command.
Does this mod work on a server or only in singleplayer?
The config screen changes the gamerules of the world you're currently in, so it works wherever the mod is installed on the world's side. On a multiplayer server, the mod generally needs to be present server-side for the changes to apply.
How do I pause the day-night cycle with this mod?
Open the config and turn off the gamerule that advances time of day (the doDaylightCycle rule). Once disabled, the sun and moon stop moving and the world stays at its current time.
