Crafting the Diode

The Diode is the More Red block that extends and re-strengthens a redstone signal, filling the repeater role. Craft it using the mod's soldering recipe type rather than a normal crafting table grid. Combine the Diode with a Pulse Gate when you need the output to fire as a single short pulse rather than a held signal.

Extending a Signal

1. Place your input line so it feeds into the Diode's input face.

2. Run the Diode's output face into the next component.

3. Chain multiple Diodes when the run is longer than one block can carry.

If the signal needs to be split to several destinations after repeating, feed the Diode output into a Distributor. If it needs to be inverted at the same time, use a NOT Gate instead of a plain Diode. For a signal that should only pass when two conditions are both true, route both inputs into an AND Gate.

Related Blocks

Use a Cable Relay to move signals across long distances without losing strength, and a Cable Junction where lines cross. Bundled Cable carries several colored channels in one block, so a Diode output can be routed into a bundle and split again later with the matching Cable color.
