Macaws Holidays Wiki & Guide

Craft the decorative blocks you want from the mod's recipes, then place them like any normal block. Start with a themed set like candy canes, presents, or string lights and build outward from there.

Stack the Decorated Christmas Tree Base, Bottom, Middle, and Top blocks in that order to form the trunk, then attach ornaments, garlands, and string lights to the sides. Each color variant has its own matching tree pieces.

Craft a present block in the color you want and place it on the ground like a normal block. Big presents take up more space, so leave room around them if you're building a pile.

Balloons float above the block you place them on, while string lights and garlands are wall decorations that need a solid surface behind them. Face the correct side when placing or they won't stick.

Wall decorations like Bat Wall Deco, Bell Wall Deco, and Ornament Wall Deco need a solid block directly behind them. If you're aiming at a slab, fence, or another decoration, try a full block instead.

Candy cane blocks come in full block, slab, stairs, and slim variants so you can build paths, borders, and railings. Mix colors for a striped look or stick to one color for a clean trim.

The Awakened Bat is a festive mob added by the mod that appears around holiday decorations. Treat it like a normal bat — it's mostly ambience, but keep an eye on it if you're building indoors.

Yes, Macaw's Holidays is designed to sit alongside the other Macaw's mods, so you can mix fences, roofs, and bridges with holiday blocks. Just make sure each mod's blocks are placed on valid surfaces.

Individual blocks are lightweight, but large builds with hundreds of string lights, garlands, or balloons can add up. If you notice lag, thin out dense clusters of small decorations first.

Yes, holiday blocks work anywhere you can place normal blocks, including the Nether and End. Just remember that some mobs like the Awakened Bat may behave differently depending on light level.
