Using Stats to Breed Better Horses

When two horses breed, the foal's health, speed, and jump height are derived from its parents' values, with some variation. The mod makes this practical because you can read the exact numbers instead of eyeballing them, so you can deliberately pair strong horses rather than hoping.

Set Up a Breeding Pair

1. Tame two horses and check each one's three stats in the inventory.

2. Keep the pair that is strongest in the stats you care about.

3. Feed each a golden apple or golden carrot to put them in love mode.

Evaluate and Repeat

Once the foal is grown, open its inventory and compare its three numbers against both parents. If it beats them, it becomes your new breeding stock; if not, cull it and try again with the same or better parents. Over several generations this steadily raises the ceiling on your herd. Because the mod displays the values directly, you can track progress numerically rather than by feel, which is the whole point of breeding for stats.
