Frequently asked questions

How do I make the Eccentric Tome?
Combine a book and a bookshelf in a crafting grid to create the Eccentric Tome. The recipe is shapeless, so the exact arrangement of the two ingredients doesn't matter.
How do I put a guidebook into the Eccentric Tome?
Hold the Eccentric Tome and right-click (or use the bound key) while holding the guidebook you want to store, or open the Tome's interface and place the book inside. Once stored, the original book is consumed and its contents live inside the Tome.
How do I get a book back out of the Eccentric Tome?
Open the Eccentric Tome's interface and select the stored book you want to retrieve. The book is returned to your inventory and removed from the Tome's storage.
Which guidebooks can I store in the Eccentric Tome?
The Tome supports guidebooks from mods like Patchouli and Tinker's Construct, along with other mods that register their books as compatible. If a book won't go in, that mod likely hasn't added Eccentric Tome support.
