In PvP,
camera motion that looks great while exploring can cost you fights by throwing off your aim. The trick is to keep the mod's feel without letting it interfere with precise tracking and quick turns.
Prioritizing Aim Stability
Reduce any settings that add roll or tilt during strafing, since sideways
camera lean makes it harder to keep a target centered while circle-strafing. Also lower sway tied to sprinting or sudden direction changes. You generally want the
camera to respond predictably when you flick or track, so favor lower intensities for anything that adds motion on top of your own mouse input.
Keeping Useful Feedback
Some
camera motion actually helps: a slight sense of momentum or a subtle cue when you change direction can make movement feel responsive rather than floaty. Rather than zeroing everything, keep a small amount of the effect that helps you read your own movement, and cut the rest.
Practice Before Competing
After changing settings, spend time in a practice area or a low-stakes fight. Muscle memory matters, so give yourself a session to adapt. If your aim feels worse, revert the last change. Keep a note of the values that worked so you can restore them quickly.
