How to Reduce Motion Sickness While Using Camera Overhaul

Camera Overhaul's whole point is extra camera motion, which is exactly what can make some players feel ill. The good news is you can keep the mod installed and still get a comfortable experience by dialing things back.

Taming the Biggest Offenders

The usual culprits are camera roll (the tilt when strafing) and any bobbing or sway tied to movement. In the config, reduce or zero out the roll/tilt intensity first, since that's the motion most often linked to nausea. Next, look at any options that add sway during sprinting or turning, and lower those too. If there's a toggle for enabling or disabling the overhauled rotation entirely, you can use it as a fallback while keeping other features on.

Field of View and Comfort

Your base field of view setting interacts with camera motion. A very wide FOV exaggerates peripheral movement, so pulling it in slightly can help. Conversely, some players find a moderate FOV more comfortable than a narrow one. Experiment in a safe, open area rather than in a fight.

Take breaks when testing. If a setting still bothers you after a few minutes, revert it. There's no penalty for running the mod with most effects turned down.
