How do I get my first Withered Bones?
Kill Wither Skeletons in the Nether—they now drop Withered Bones instead of regular bones. You can also find them by killing other withered mobs, or check your config file if drops seem disabled.
Can I turn Withered Bone Meal back into Withered Bones?
Yes. The recipe is reversible: 9 Withered Bone Meal can be crafted back into 1 Withered Bone, so you won't waste resources if you over-mill.
Why isn't Withered Bone Meal working on my Nylium?
Withered Bone Meal only works on Warped Nylium and Crimson Nylium—it won't affect regular dirt or other Nether blocks. Make sure you're using it on the correct block type.
What plants can Withered Bone Meal grow?
It grows Warped/Crimson Fungus, Brown/Red Mushrooms, and Wither Roses on their respective Nylium types, each with different drop chances.
How do I make a Potion of Decay?
Brew a Wither Rose with an Awkward Potion in a brewing stand, just like any other potion. The recipe supports regular, splash, and lingering variants.
Do Wither Skeletons always have enchanted swords?
By default yes, but you can disable this in the config file if you find it too difficult or want to change the spawn behavior.
Can I get Withered Bones from mobs outside the Nether?
Only from withered mobs and mobs from the Better Nether mod (like Naga and Skull). Regular overworld skeletons still drop normal bones.
What's the best way to farm Withered Bone Meal?
Kill Wither Skeletons for bones, convert them to meal at a 1:3 ratio, then use the meal to grow Wither Roses on Nylium for a renewable source of Wither Roses and more bones.
Are Withered Bone Blocks just decorative?
Mostly yes, but they're also used as a crafting ingredient—combine one with a Poppy to create a Wither Rose, which is essential for brewing Potions of Decay.
Does this mod conflict with other mods that change bone drops?
