How do I make my first lantern?
Place a Lantern Maker block, put the required catalyst items on top of it, then place a vanilla lantern block on top of those catalysts. The lantern will be created and you can pick it up.
Where do I find lantern recipes?
All lantern recipes and their required catalysts are shown in JEI (Just Enough Items). Search for each lantern type to see what catalysts you need.
What does the life lantern do?
The Life Lantern makes crops grow faster in the area around it. Place it near your farm to speed up crop growth.
Can I use rei instead of jei?
No, REI is not supported by this mod. You must use JEI to view lantern recipes and catalyst information.
What happens when I place a feral lantern?
The Feral Lantern spawns sparks that light up a large area around it. Once enough sparks have been spawned and the area is fully lit, the lantern disappears.
How do I stop mobs from attacking me?
Use the Boreal Lantern to slow down nearby mobs and players, making them easier to avoid or deal with.
Can I make mobs breed with the love lantern?
Yes, the Love Lantern makes nearby mobs fall in love with each other, causing them to breed.
What does the wailing lantern do?
The Wailing Lantern cries when you get close to it, and screams while applying nausea if you get even closer. It's useful as a warning system or deterrent.
Does the brilliant lantern kill animals?
The Brilliant Lantern converts nearby animals directly into experience orbs, so yes, it removes them from the world.
Can I use a life lantern as a catalyst for another lantern?
Yes, the Life Lantern can be used as a catalyst when crafting the Love Lantern.
