Frequently asked questions

How do I start with Arcane Glyph Masonry?
You need Hex Casting installed first, then craft basic blocks like Storage Vessels and Patterned Assemblers using materials from Hex Casting. Start by building a simple spell circle with a Storage Vessel to store items, then expand from there.
What's the difference between a Storage Vessel and a Pocket Simulator?
Storage Vessels are loci blocks that hold items and let spell circles access them directly during casting. Pocket Simulators give your spell circle six extra inventory slots but don't require the circle to interact with external storage.
How do I automate crafting with Patterned Assemblers?
Place a Patterned Assembler next to Storage Vessels containing your materials, then configure it with the recipe you want to craft. The assembler will automatically pull materials and produce items when powered by your spell circle.
Can I control redstone output directly from a spell circle?
Yes, use Redstone Agitators to send precise redstone power levels from inside your spell circle without needing external comparators or repeaters.
What do Wave Regulators do and why would I need one?
Wave Regulators let you adjust how fast media waves travel through your spell circle, effectively speeding up or slowing down casting speed. Use them to fine-tune performance or synchronize multiple circles.
How do Spell Imprinters work for creating macros?
Spell Imprinters alter the meaning of patterns when they're written onto slates, letting you create simplified versions of complex spells that act like macros. This reduces the complexity of patterns you need to cast repeatedly.
What's the best way to use Merchant Directrix for villager trading?
Place a Merchant Directrix next to a villager and configure the trades you want to automate. The block will handle buying and selling automatically, and can level up the villager over time.
Do Bombastic Extractors work with enchanted tools?
Yes, Bombastic Extractors accept tool enchantments and will break blocks in large areas while respecting those enchantments, making them useful for automated mining with efficiency or silk touch.
How do I use Librarian Impetus and Whispering Stones together?
Place a Librarian Impetus block and set it to listen for specific chat messages as triggers. Use Whispering Stones anywhere in your world to send those chat triggers and activate the spell circle remotely.
Will this mod cause lag if I build a lot of spell circles?
Multiple active spell circles can impact performance depending on what they're doing; use Wave Regulators and Gloopy Accelerators to control casting speed, and avoid running unnecessary circles simultaneously to maintain good frame rates.
