How to Use the Arcane Anvil and Inscription Table

Arcane Anvil Basics

The Arcane Anvil is used to salvage magical items, apply runes, and craft certain components. To use it, place it down and right-click to open the interface. You can insert a magical item (like a wand or armor) and Arcane Essence to salvage it, yielding Arcane Essence and sometimes Arcane Runes. Salvaging is useful for clearing inventory and gathering materials. You can also combine a rune with a piece of gear to add its effect — for example, a Cinderous Soul Rune adds fire damage to a weapon.

Inscription Table Basics

The Inscription Table is for upgrading spellbooks and learning new spells. Place it and right-click to open its interface. Insert your spellbook and the required materials (Arcane Essence, Arcane Runes, Ancient Knowledge Fragments) to add spell slots. You can also use it to inscribe scrolls into your spellbook if you have an open slot. The table shows which spells you can learn and what materials are needed.

Tips for Efficient Use

Keep a stock of Arcane Essence and Arcane Runes — you'll need them often. Salvage unwanted magical gear at the Arcane Anvil instead of discarding it. Before upgrading your spellbook, plan which spells you want so you don't waste slots. Use the Inscription Table to respec if you change your build. Both blocks are essential for progression, so set them up in your base early.
