The Animal GUI
By crouching and right-clicking an animal, players can access a detailed status screen. This interface displays:
- Gender: Indicated by male/female symbols
- Age: Measured in Minecraft days
- Status: Hunger levels, health, and pregnancy progress
- Pedigree: Displays the names of the Sire (father) and Dam (mother) if they were named before breeding
Breeding & Gestation
Breeding requires a male and female of the same species. Once bred, the female (or both, if 'Omnigender' is enabled) will enter a gestation period.
- Gestation: Typically lasts 1-2 Minecraft days
Incubation: For chickens, eggs must be kept in a nest or thrown (with a lower hatch rate) to produce chicks
Grazing & Hunger
Animals must eat to maintain health, produce resources, and carry pregnancies. They will naturally graze on grass blocks, but if grass is unavailable, they must be hand-fed or provided with Unbound Hay.
