Finding the density setting
Falling Leaves is a client-side mod, so every option lives in a config file on your own machine rather than on the server. Open your Minecraft instance folder, go into the config directory, and look for the Falling Leaves config file. Open it with any plain text editor. Inside you will find a particle density option that controls how many leaf particles spawn beneath tree canopies. The value is a multiplier-style number: lower values mean sparser, occasional leaves, higher values mean a thick, constant shower.
Tuning it to taste
If the effect feels like a blizzard, drop the density value down and save the file. If you barely see any leaves, raise it. Because the mod is client-side, you can reload the config without restarting the whole game in most setups — leave and rejoin a world, or use the mod's config reload if one is provided, and the new density applies immediately.
Per-biome consideration
Density interacts with the biome-specific leaf colors the mod already uses. Dense forests with large canopies will look far busier than a lone tree in a plains biome at the same setting, so if you want a consistent feel everywhere, test in a few different biomes before settling on a value. Keep a backup of the config so you can restore your favorite setting after modpack updates.
