Finding and Editing the Config
Epic Siege Mod ships with a config file generated in your config folder after first launch. Open it with any text editor. Most settings are grouped by mob type (zombies, skeletons, creepers,
spiders) plus a global section for siege behavior. Read the comments above each line — the mod author documents what each toggle does, and those comments are your best reference since values change between versions.
Settings Worth Understanding
- Block breaking / mining behavior: controls whether mobs can dig through walls, doors, or dirt to reach you. Disabling this makes bases viable again; enabling it is the core of the mod's difficulty.
- Tower building /
bridging: lets mobs pillar up or bridge gaps. Turning this off stops the classic "zombie tower" that scales your walls. - Targeting range and follow distance: how far mobs will track you and how stubbornly they pursue.
- Sun immunity / fire resistance: whether mobs
survive daylight, which changes daytime safety entirely. - Explosion and TNT usage: whether creepers or other mobs breach structures.
Practical Workflow
Change one category at a time, then test in a fresh world or with a spawn egg. Reload the game after edits. If a setting makes the game unplayable, revert just that line rather than wiping the file. Keep a backup copy of the config before large edits so you can restore a known-good state.
