How to Survive Your First Night with Epic Siege Mod Installed

With Epic Siege Mod, a dirt hut with a wooden door is not shelter — it is a delay. Mobs can break blocks, stack up to reach you, and coordinate. Your first night goal is not "build a house," it is "be somewhere mobs cannot easily path to."

Immediate Steps

1. Dig, don't build. Go into a hillside or straight down a few blocks, then seal the entrance behind you. Underground is safer than surface structures because mobs must dig through stone, which takes them far longer than dirt or wood.

2. Avoid doors entirely. Doors are a known weak point. Use a solid block you place and remove manually, or a vertical shaft with a ladder you can block off.

3. Light everything. Torches inside your hole prevent spawns in the space you actually occupy. Mobs spawning inside your shelter is a common early death.

4. Do not sleep unless fully enclosed. Beds let mobs path to you and can trap you in a bad spot.

5. Keep an escape route. A second exit or a water drop you can use to flee if something breaches.

What to Expect

You will hear digging. That is normal. Treat any wall between you and the surface as temporary and plan to relocate or reinforce before morning.
