What Chaos Mode Is

Chaos Mode is Epic Siege Mod's extreme difficulty preset. It pushes mob aggression, block-breaking, and siege behavior to their maximum, and it is intended for players who already understand the mod's normal behavior. It is not a casual toggle — expect the game to become a constant siege.

Enabling It

Chaos Mode is controlled through the mod's config. Look for the chaos or difficulty preset option in the config file and enable it, then reload the game. Because it changes many behaviors at once, back up your config first so you can return to normal settings.

How to Actually Play It

• Assume nowhere is safe. Surface bases fail. Go underground early and deep.
• Stockpile before you need it. Food, blocks, and tools should be gathered during calm moments because you will not get many.
• Build for containment, not comfort. Small, sealed, well-lit rooms with removable entrances beat large open bases.
• Expect constant pressure. Mobs will dig, stack, and pursue relentlessly. Plan escape routes from every room.
• Use terrain. Natural stone and water are your best defenses; mobs dig them slowly.

When to Turn It Off

If you are dying before you can establish any foothold, drop back to normal settings, learn the mob behaviors, then re-enable Chaos Mode once you have a working base design.
