Overview

Detail Armor Bar is a lightweight client-side mod that replaces the plain vanilla armor bar with a much more informative one. The vanilla bar only tells you how many armor points you have; Detail Armor Bar also shows what your armor is made of, how worn it is, and which protections are active - all without opening your inventory.

Frequently asked questions

What does Detail Armor Bar change about the armor HUD?
It replaces the standard armor icons with unique shapes and colors that match the material you are wearing, such as leather, iron, diamond, netherite, or turtle shell. This makes it easy to see at a glance what kind of armor you have equipped.
Does Detail Armor Bar warn me when my armor is about to break?
Yes, it flashes warning colors on your armor points when your gear is close to breaking. This gives you a visual cue to repair or replace your armor before it is destroyed.
How does the mod show enchantments on armor?
It displays glints and animated colored auras for certain enchantments, including Protection, Projectile Protection, Blast Protection, Fire Protection, Thorns, and Mending. Each enchantment gets its own visual highlight on the HUD.
Do I need to install Detail Armor Bar on the server to use it?
No, the mod runs entirely on the client side, so it works on any server without server installation. You only need it on your own game client.
