What the Mod Changes

Detail Armor Bar is a client-side mod that replaces the plain armor icons on your HUD with icons that match the material you are actually wearing. Leather, chainmail, iron, gold, diamond, netherite, and turtle shell armor each get their own distinct shape and color, so you can tell at a glance what you have equipped without opening your inventory.

Beyond appearance, the mod adds two useful signals. When a piece of armor is close to breaking, the corresponding armor points flash warning colors so you notice before the item is destroyed. It also highlights certain enchantments with glints and animated colored auras, covering Protection, Projectile Protection, Blast Protection, Fire Protection, Thorns, and Mending.

Because everything runs on the client side, you can use it on any server without installing anything server-side. It works in single-player as well.
