Cull Less Leaves — Guide
How It Works
Vanilla renders leaf blocks with every face drawn, including the faces pressed up against neighbouring leaves deep inside a tree. Those interior faces are completely hidden by the outer leaves, yet the GPU still processes them.
Cull Less Leaves detects these buried faces and culls them from the render, cutting the quad count of a large canopy dramatically. The outer shell of the tree is untouched, so the foliage looks identical while the game has much less to draw — which shows up as higher, steadier FPS in wooded biomes.
