Build the Alternator Setup

Electricity in this mod comes from the Alternator, which converts Create's rotational force (stress) into an electrical charge. Place an Alternator and connect its shaft input to any Create rotational source — a Water Wheel, Windmill, or a powered shaft from your main network. The faster the input rotation, the more electricity it produces, so gear up the speed if you can spare the stress.

Store and Distribute the Power

Run Copper Wire from the Alternator's output to whatever needs power. For storage, place an Accumulator and wire it in — it buffers charge so machines keep running when your rotational source stalls. Use Small Connectors and Large Connectors to attach wires to blocks and route them around corners. If you want to move power between separate networks, the Portable Energy Interface lets you carry charge by hand.

Practical Tips

  • Keep rotational speed high; slow inputs mean slow charging.
  • A Capacitor smooths short demand spikes from machines like the Electric Motor.
  • Watch your Create stress budget — Alternators add load to the network.
  • Chain multiple Alternators onto one fast shaft if you need more output.
