Preparing the Moulds

Cannon parts are cast, not crafted. You need the appropriate cast moulds: Autocannon Barrel Cast Mould, Autocannon Breech Cast Mould, and Autocannon Recoil Spring Cast Mould. Place these moulds on a casting table or in a Basin Foundry Lid setup connected to your Create foundry. Molten metal — bronze, cast iron, or steel — is poured into the mould to produce the finished part.

Melting and Pouring

Smelt your raw materials in a Basin heated by a blaze burner or similar heat source. Bronze Ingots and Cast Iron Ingots are the primary inputs for most cannon parts. Once molten, use a spout or faucet to pour the metal into the mould. Cast Iron Nuggets and Bronze Scrap are byproducts you can recycle back into the melt.

Nethersteel and Advanced Parts

For higher-tier cannons, produce Nethersteel by alloying in the foundry. Blocks of Nethersteel can be cast into Built-Up Nethersteel Cannon Barrels and Chambers, which withstand more pressure and recoil than bronze equivalents. Blocks of Bronze, Blocks of Cast Iron, and Blocks of Steel are storage forms you can also melt down when you need to re-cast a part.
