Assembling the Barrel
Start by
crafting a
Cannon Crafting Wand — this is the tool that lets you weld cannon parts together. Place your cannon components (barrel, chamber, end, breech) on the ground in the orientation you want, then right-click each piece with the wand to weld them into a single
Built Up Cannon. The order matters: the chamber sits behind the barrel, and the end caps the muzzle. Use the
Cannon Welder for larger assemblies or when you need to fuse multiple segments into a
Built-Up Nethersteel Cannon Barrel.
Mounting and Firing
Once welded, place the cannon on a
Cannon Carriage so it can be aimed. Load a
Big Cartridge (or a filled
Powder Charge) into the breech, then insert your projectile — an AP Shell, HE Shell, or
Bag of Grapeshot depending on your target. Right-click the breech to close it, then use a redstone signal or the carriage's controls to fire. Recoil will push the cannon backward, so anchor the carriage or leave space behind it. For a quick test, aim at a dirt wall and fire a single round to confirm the loading sequence works before building a full battery.
