Connected Textures reads CTM metadata from resource packs. A pack enables connection on a block by providing a .mcmeta connection file (CTM properties) alongside the block's texture, telling the mod which connection style to use and which extra tiles to draw.

To use them:

  1. Download a resource pack that advertises CTM / Connected Textures support.
  2. Drop it in .minecraft/resourcepacks and enable it in Options > Resource Packs.
  3. Blocks the pack defines connection data for will now blend together.

If you make packs yourself, supply the CTM .mcmeta/properties metadata for each block you want to connect and choose the appropriate connection style (full, horizontal, vertical, etc.).
