Getting Connected Textures Working

Fusion does not add connected textures by itself. It reads special files inside your resource packs to learn how blocks should join together, so the effect only appears when you use a pack that includes those files.

To set it up, add a resource pack that has connected textures built in, then place blocks like glass, bookshelves, or sandstone next to each other. Identical blocks that touch should lose the grid lines between them and read as one large surface.

Not every block connects the same way. Fusion supports several connection styles, including horizontal, vertical, top, and edge borders, and the pack decides which style each block uses. There is also an option that controls how inside corners connect to each other.

If you want to turn the effect off, open the simple in-game menu and toggle it. Because Fusion only changes graphics on your own screen, you can use it on normal multiplayer servers without affecting anyone else.
