Understanding Spawn Conditions

Wild Pokémon spawn based on biome, time of day, weather, and sometimes Y-level. A Pokémon that never appears near your base might spawn in a desert at night or in a swamp during rain. Use this to plan expeditions: pick a target species, look up its spawn conditions, and travel to the right biome at the right time.

Improving Your Odds

Carry plenty of Poké Balls of different types, since some balls work better in certain situations (for example, balls that perform well at night or against weakened targets). Bring healing items and a strong lead Pokémon. If you are hunting a specific rare spawn, build a small outpost in the biome so you can rest and resupply without trekking home. Some players use lures or incense-like items if available in their modpack to boost spawn rates. Be patient — rare spawns can take many in-game days, so settle in and keep battling to pass the time productively.
