How to Tame the Cold: Fighting the Yeti and Frozen Enemies

Where Yetis Live

Yetis spawn in snowy biomes and ice-themed structures. Related mobs include Frozen Skeleton, Ice Cube, Ice Spike, and Ice Spike Cluster. These make cold biomes genuinely dangerous, so treat any snowfield as a potential boss arena.

Gear for the Cold

Craft the Frozen Fist gauntlet for melee — it fits the theme and hits hard. Dragon Bones armor provides solid protection without freezing you. Bring a shield (Dragon Guard Shield or Enhanced Shield) because Ice Spikes launch in clusters and can stagger you. Fire-based weapons help melt Ice Cubes quickly.

Fighting the Yeti

Yetis are melee bruisers. They close distance fast and slam the ground, spawning Ice Spike Clusters. Circle-strafe and hit during their recovery. When Frozen Skeletons join, take them out with ranged attacks before they pelt you. The Yeti drops materials used for cold-themed crafting and its spawn egg lets you rebuild the encounter. Watch for Ice Block Particules as a visual tell that an ice attack is charging — move immediately.
