Vanilla Vistas Mod 1.16.5, — Configuration
Mechanics & Configuration
Vanilla Vistas leverages OTG's advanced mechanics to provide a seamless experience.
Performance Optimization
Because Vanilla Vistas uses vanilla blocks and optimized BO3 objects, it generally performs better than other heavy world-gen mods. However, it is recommended to allocate at least 2GB-4GB of RAM to the client or server for smooth chunk loading.
Key Configuration Files
Users can find configuration files in the /config/OpenTerrainGenerator/Presets/VanillaVistas/ folder:
- WorldConfig.ini: Controls global settings like sea level, cloud height, and structure frequency.
- BiomeConfigs: Individual .bc files for every biome, allowing you to customize grass colors, foliage density, and which custom objects spawn.
Commands
OTG provides several commands to help manage Vanilla Vistas worlds:
- /otg map [size] [filename]: Generates a top-down map of the world biomes.
- /otg tp [biome_name]: Teleports the player to the nearest instance of a specific biome.
- /otg info: Displays technical information about the biome the player is currently standing in.
